On 29th September 2013 we held our very first wedding venue open day and were joined by many lovely brides and grooms to be! Apologies for my lack of blog posts recently, I have now updated to the latest version of my blogging software so you should now hear more from me! I’d like to show you some pictures of the snow that we had here throughout December / January. The photo on the left is of Meadow Cottage and the photo on the right is taken from the drive looking up at the farm towards Meadow Cottage. Our visitors really loved the sledging!!

We have recently been looking for ways to go green and after watching a dvd called the age of stupid, (which I urge everyone to watch) this prompted us to look into renewable energy sources further in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We are thinking of applying for a micro wind generator system, and maybe also solar panels. On Sunday Jen spent all day baking various cupcakes, including white chocolate butterfly cakes and some chocolate cola bottle iced cakes. They tasted delicious and sold well in the tea shop!

On Saturday we had 30 cyclists in for lunch after cycling all the way from Chester, and all made it back for the coach at 5pm – quite an achievement! Visit their website here: http://www.chestertri.org.uk

We have had a extremely busy 4 weeks as baby lambs were born thick and fast! 750 sheep have lambed in the past few weeks, with 50 left to give birth. We would like to thank our friends and family for the help we’ve had over the last few weeks and we will be looking forward to a rest once the lambing season is over.
